Valantis is a complete generalization of Uniswapv4, Hook-based DEX platforms, and any DEX for that matter.

Essentially, there are many things possible on Valantis that are not possible on Uniswapv4 architecture, such as shared liquidity.

Modules are composable, Hooks are not. While Hooks can be thought of as extensions built on Uni v4. Modules can be thought of like Lego blocks, used interchangeably to create exactly the set of tradeoffs a developer is looking for in a brand new DEX.

Valantis is a DEX with highly customizable pools. The protocol is so flexible, each pool can look very unique.

The diagram below provides a high-level overview of how the Sovereign Pool interacts with different Modules. A new DEX can use any number of these Modules or even create their own.
